Audio-Technica Direct Drives AT-LP140XPSVEUK Editorial Review
Audio-Technica LP140XPSVEUK Professional Direct Drive Manual Turntable Silver is a well-built turntable that delivers great sound quality. Many users praise its sturdy design and aesthetic appeal, although some have noted it requires a dedicated amplifier due to the absence of a built-in preamp. While the included cartridge may sound a bit dull, upgrading to models like the AT VM95E provides a significantly enhanced audio experience. The die-cast aluminum platter and S-shaped tonearm contribute to its excellent performance, making it an unbeatable option in its price range. However, a minor drawback is the positioning of the pop-up light, which some users find less effective for queuing records in low light conditions.
