DEWALT 100895600 Side Handle Assembly

The DEWALT 100895600 Side Handle Assembly has garnered a mixed reception among customers. Users have praised its functionality when paired with compatible DeWalt drills, highlighting its strong performance and ease of installation on models like the DCD796. Many found that the handle effectively enhances control when using power tools, particularly for gardening augers, leading to a rewarding experience in practical applications. However, the product has faced criticism primarily due to the lack of clear installation instructions, which left some customers frustrated during the setup process. Several users shared amusing anecdotes about the confusion it created, resulting in the need for improvised solutions, such as creating shims for proper fitting. Additionally, there have been reports of the side handle slipping during use—leading to safety concerns such as potential injuries and damage to the drill itself. The product's compatibility issues have also surfaced, with customers expressing disappointment when it did not fit their non-specified DeWalt models, demonstrating a need for clearer communication regarding compatibility. Overall, while the DEWALT Side Handle Assembly provides enhanced control for compatible drills, potential buyers should be aware of the installation challenges and compatibility limitations that could affect their experience. **
