Detalles de producto
- The Little Prisoner, is a fiction book that is written in the fashion of The Little Prince, by Antione de Saint-Exupery, in 1943.The Little Prisoner exudes rhythmic language, sometimes bitingly and shares personal insight into what really goes on behind Texas prison bars.Witty, honest, and tragic... this novel has also been called powerful by both lovers of the original andby those who detest the modern day justice system.Austin’s real-life story demonstrates physical incarceration's inability to confine a heart’s appreciation for the desire to be friends, to expand situational awareness, and to feel love and loss. The book tells the story of the brotherly bond of the Little Prisoner and the Frenchman. We follow their trials throughout years of life in prison, the close relationship of friends, and the longing for goodwill to all. It tells the impossible story of the Little Prisoner’s heart struggling through absurdity. The universal principals taught in the original and now applied in this starkcontext and realities of the modern day Texas Justice and Prison System. These principals hold justas true here and now as they ever have.
