DavisInstruments Trolling Motors Editorial Review
The Davis Instruments Lil Fella trolling plate is an easy-to-install accessory for outboard motors up to 25 horsepower. It allows users to effectively control their trolling speed, making it ideal for fishing enthusiasts. Customers have reported that the Lil Fella trolling plate is very easy to install and use. It comes with a cord for operating the plate and can be adjusted to achieve different trolling speeds. Users have found it effective in reducing their trolling speed to as low as 0.5 mph, which is ideal for fishing in certain conditions. However, there are some mixed reviews regarding the materials used in the Construction of this trolling plate. While some customers mention that it could be made of better materials, others have found it to be well-built with thick plastic. It is worth noting that the latch is plastic, but the springs are made of metal and quite sturdy. There is also a discrepancy between the listing images and the item description, with some customers mentioning that the images show an aluminum plate while the description states it is plastic. It is important to follow the instructions carefully in order to ensure that the trolling plate functions properly. Some customers have reported that it did not fit their specific outboard motor, so it is recommended to check compatibility before purchasing. Overall, the Davis Instruments Lil Fella trolling plate seems to be a reliable and effective accessory for controlling trolling speed. Its easy installation and use make it a convenient option for anglers.
