Pearl Harbor Collection

The Pearl Harbor Collection presents a mixed bag for customers, showcasing both aesthetic appeal and disappointing design choices. Reviewers commend the overall presentation of the coins and plaque, asserting that they make for an excellent gift, particularly for military personnel. This sentiment highlights the collection's potential value as a tribute to historical events. However, several critiques emerge, especially regarding inaccuracies in the historical representation. One reviewer expresses frustration over the incorrect airplane depicted on the front of the plaque, asserting that the TBM Avenger was not present during the events of Pearl Harbor. Instead, they argue it should feature a P-40 or a P-36. This oversight detracts significantly from the collection's authenticity and credibility, leading to disappointment among those with a solid grasp of history. The visual appeal of the coins appears to be well-received, but the presentation's execution has not gone unnoticed, particularly due to issues like cracks in the frame and improper orientation of the coins and images. When Considering the collection as a gift or collector's item, potential buyers should be aware of these discrepancies, specifically if the recipient holds a deep appreciation for historical accuracy. Overall, while the Pearl Harbor Collection may serve well for casual collectors or gift-givers, it may fall flat for those seeking a piece that honors the complexities and realities of historical events. **
