Thule Cargo Racks Editorial Review
The Thule Roof Rack System Fit Kits have garnered a mixed reception among users, showcasing strong performance but notable points of criticism primarily surrounding installation ease and clarity. Many users who appreciate Thule's design highlight the simplicity and efficiency of the installation process, especially when vehicles come with factory fix points. One reviewer noted that they could complete the installation in just 15 minutes, emphasizing the thoughtful design that minimizes the need for measuring and making adjustments compared to competitors like Yakima. In contrast, there are significant concerns raised about the installation experience itself. Some users reported frustration with the unclear instructions, which often lack sufficient detail or context. Installation tools, particularly the provided Allen wrench, have been described as inadequate for the task, complicating the setup process. A few reviewers expressed that they faced overwhelming difficulty, requiring extensive time and self-modification of tools to achieve the installation, deviating significantly from the experience of others who found it easy. Regarding performance, customer reviews Consistently commend the secure fit of the racks during travels, even in tumultuous weather, and the aesthetics of the setup, which many claim to enhance the vehicle’s overall appearance. Many users perceive the investment in Thule racks as valuable due to their robustness and reliable locking mechanisms, although some customers felt ignored by Thule's support after sharing their concerns. Overall, Thule represents a solid choice for those whose vehicles accommodate these racks, offering strong performance and visual appeal. However, potential buyers should be prepared for a potentially laborious installation process, and they may want to Consult available installation resources to enhance their experience. **
