Amprobe Test Probes & Leads Editorial Review
Amprobe TL1500 Test Leads The Amprobe TL1500 Test Leads are well-made test leads designed for electrical measurements. These test leads are compatible with all current Amprobe models, including the AMP-320 and ACD-1. The alligator clips have a firm grip, ensuring secure connections during testing. The leads are long, providing convenience for users. One important note is that these test leads are PVC insulated, not silicone as some may expect. This may be a disappointment for those who prefer silicone insulation. It's worth mentioning that the markings on the wire indicate a UL rating for PVC insulation. However, despite the PVC insulation, the Amprobe TL1500 Test Leads offer good quality and solid performance. They provide a cost-effective alternative to more expensive Fluke test leads. In fact, Amprobe is manufactured by Fluke, so users can still expect a high level of quality and durability. One small drawback is that the alligator clips cannot be used with other Amprobe test leads like the TL75s. The TL1500 Test Leads have screw-on caps, making them compatible only with the included alligator clips. Overall, the Amprobe TL1500 Test Leads offer a reliable option for those in need of test leads for their Amprobe models. They may not have silicone insulation, but they still deliver on performance and value.
