Software Development Editorial Review
The reception of the VBA book has been quite mixed among customers, showcasing a range of experiences depending on their prior knowledge and expectations. On one hand, many users found the book to be a valuable resource, particularly praising its clarity and practical examples. Readers who had some exposure to programming, especially in the realm of Access, appreciated the straightforward approach and the focus on real-world applications, such as the example of converting dollar amounts for checks. For those just beginning their journey with VBA, the book serves as an excellent introductory text, offering clear instructions and accessible coding techniques. Conversely, some users, particularly those more experienced in programming, expressed disappointment. They felt that the book leaned too heavily on the built-in wizards of Access rather than delving into deeper programming concepts. For these readers, the content felt superficial and inadequate, leading to frustration. A few reviewers even went as far as to label the book "worthless," indicating a disconnect between the book's presentation and their expectations for in-depth programming guidance. Overall, the book appears to cater best to beginners and those looking for a refresher, while more seasoned programmers may find it lacking in depth and technical rigor. **
