Moroso 65226 Clear View Sight Plugs for Carburetors

Moroso 65226 Clear View Sight Plugs were marketed with an amazing idea of allowing users to easily set their floats while the engine is running. Unfortunately, they may not be dependable for this purpose. Some customers claimed that the threads were brittle and broke the first time they attempted to tighten them. One customer went to check if they were still snug in the float bowls, and upon attempting to tighten them, experienced a significant failure of the threads that could have turned into a fire hazard. In several reviews, customers reported that the plugs melted from contact with petrol, leading to fuel bowl blockages and in a case, caused a fire. One customer pointed out that after installing these plugs, it became difficult to accurately see the gasoline level. In general, these plugs are getting negative feedback from most users and can't be relied on for repeated use. If you are thinking of purchasing these plugs, you may want to reConsider it.
