Scotch Craft Adhesives & Glues Editorial Review
The Scotch Brand Expressions Washi Tape is a popular choice amongst crafters and DIY enthusiasts. The tape has a slightly glossy finish and is easy to use in various projects. It is thick enough to be sturdy, yet still slightly sheer, allowing underlying patterns to show through on high contrast surfaces. The tape sticks well once burnished down, ensuring that it stays in place. One of the standout features of this tape is its ability to be written on. The finish does not cause inks or paints to bead up, and a permanent marker can be used without smudging. This makes it great for crafts and for marking glassware. The tape can be easily removed from glass surfaces. Customers particularly enjoy the wide range of designs available, with favorites including the comic book effect and faux bois green. The tape is versatile and can be used to decorate gift-wrapped packages, book covers, folders, pencil holders, jars, and even laptops. While the majority of customers are satisfied with the tape and its repositioning feature, some have had mixed experiences with writing on it. While markers work well, pencil writing may appear faint and regular ink pens do not flow properly. Gel pens may provide better results. Overall, the Scotch Brand Expressions Washi Tape is a reliable and versatile product that adds a decorative touch to various projects. It is sturdy, easy to use, and has a glossy finish that allows for writing without smudging. The wide range of designs ensures that there is something for everyone.
